Holy Violence captures the essence of esoteric and extreme cultural rituals from around the world. It is an ongoing project by artist Tyler Jackson Pritchard originating in 2015. The project's primary medium is analog 35mm & 120mm film as a way to present the content in it's rawest form.
At its heart, Holy Violence is a profound study of the human condition, examining the lengths to which devotion can propel individuals and communities. It examines the physical manifestations of complex psychological impulses deep within us all. An intimate view of the beauty and horror of the human spirit in it's most fervent forms.
